Project Overview

Located on the Yuzu plot south of Huangpu Avenue, Yuzhu Street, Huangpu District, Guangzhou (Guangzhou Huangpu Port Economic Zone), this 153-meter Grade A international super high-rise office tower boasts a total construction area of approximately 75,000 square meters. It is jointly invested by Guangzhou Daily and Guangzhou Development District Holding Group.

Lighting Design

The floodlighting project for the Convergence Media Center was executed by Heyi Culture. The design employs pure, minimalist linear lighting. Following the building's texture and lines, it utilizes an inner-lit perforated aluminum panel technique. Precise control of color temperature and strict management of luminaire output define the structure's contours and mass, highlighting its clean, crisp, majestic, and upright nighttime presence.

Lighting Fixture Application

As a professional outdoor lighting manufacture, Shone Lighting collaborated deeply with partners throughout the project. Considering light output, waterproofing, and concealed installation, Shone provided specialized solutions. Their 35x15 specification LED linear lights were selected, delivering refined, high-quality illumination to revitalize the building at night.

4.  Weatherproofing:
IP66 rating with waterproof connectors guarantees safe, reliable operation in high-temperature, high-humidity, and storm conditions.

Lighting Effect

  • The tower facade features Shone's 35x15 LED linear lights using the inner-lit perforated panel method. Light permeates through the perforated aluminum from within, achieving soft, uniform illumination that accentuates the building's clean-cut and majestic profile.
  • The facade's recessed and protruding structures conceal the linear light sources, presenting a clean appearance with gentle light that layers the architectural form, eliminating glare and light pollution.
  • Podium lighting enriches the facade and enhances functional illumination at entrances, creating a layered environment tailored to the structure's features.
  • Transverse lines are arranged alternately across aluminum curtain walls and ceilings. LED linear lights were custom-sized to match the curtain wall modules, producing rhythmic, staggered lines.
  • Support columns at the base and between floors use 4000K light to softly delineate level boundaries. Linear lighting traces the winding stair railings, improving nighttime wayfinding.
Light integrates flawlessly with the architecture, articulating its form and spirit.
