Nie Er Music Square

Located in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, Nie Er Cultural Plaza comprises a lake, two promenades, a bridge, and four distinct zones. Built to honor Nie Er, the great people's musician and composer of China's national anthem, it has become a premier destination for tourists and residents seeking recreation, sightseeing, and exercise. The plaza boasts lush greenery year-round and picturesque scenery. 

 

 Viewed from above, the plaza's main structure resembles a magnificent violin set into the earth, creating a breathtaking and extraordinary spectacle. Serving as the plaza's core, it embodies the spirit of Nie Er's music. The design of the central music stage draws inspiration from both the sun and a violin. Surrounded by water, it symbolizes how Nie Er's musical legacy radiates eternally like the sun.

 

Completed in 2006, the project features 10,000 Shone LED floor tiles (specification: 300*300 mm). These LED floor tiles illuminate the plaza's four main pathways, resembling strings, softly bringing the designer's vision to life. This installation highlights the application of high-quality LED floor tiles for squares by a leading LED floor tile manufacturer.
