For any outdoor lighting system to perform reliably over the long term, the IP (Ingress Protection) rating is a go-to factor. In demanding environments—from intense heat and humidity to heavy salt spray—a sufficient IP rating is crucial for extending fixture life and ensuring project success.
An IP rating, denoted as "IP" followed by two digits, specifies the level of protection against solid objects (like dust) and moisture. The first digit (0-6) rates dust resistance, with 6 indicating complete protection. The second digit (0-8) rates water resistance; 7 protects against temporary immersion, while 8 guarantees protection against prolonged submersion. Therefore, a fixture with an IP68 rating offers the highest degree of protection, making it suitable for the most extreme conditions.

1. Waterfront Environment – Fuxi Cultural & Creative Park
Our IP67-rated Waterproof
LED floor tiles were installed along the Fuxi River. All connectors, drivers, and controllers were selected to withstand the waterside conditions. With on-site technical support during installation, the project has delivered stable and impressive performance.
2. High-Temp & High-Humidity – Dominican Republic Five-Star Hotel
Facing the ocean in a tropical climate, this hotel deals with constant heat, humidity, and salt spray. The IP65-rated Waterproof LED floor tiles used on the building's exterior effectively resist corrosion from salty moisture, ensuring the landscape lighting remains durable and reliable.
3. Water Feature Area – Canal Vanke Center • Innovation Experience Center
Our IP67 high-performance Waterproof LED floor tiles with marble finish were installed in the building's peripheral water features. Their high protection level ensures long-term, stable operation even in constantly wet conditions.
4. Submersion Test – Light Park
During major floods in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in July/August 2023, the project site was severely inundated. Our luminous paving tiles were submerged for 1-2 days. After the water receded, every single tile continued to function normally, passing this extreme real-world test. Today, after three years, the Shone LED floor tiles at both sites continue to function stably.
