Super High-Rise Building Facade Lighting: Shone Linear Lights Shape Urban Landmarks

Following our previous article, this piece continues to explore how Shone Linear Lights achieve perfect integration of architecture and light through customized design and installation across multiple 200-meter-plus super high-rise projects.

 

The 230-meter-tall Hengmingzhu Financial Center is the tallest building in Western Shenzhen, serving as a key landmark for the regional financial industry.
The biggest highlight of the design is the outer contour part. The Shone wall washer lights and curtain wall aluminum panels are made into one body, which not only improves the overall efficiency, makes the lamps and the curtain wall fit better, ensures the integrity and aesthetics of the exterior space of the building, and effectively avoids indoor glare.

Located in Chengdu, this 200-meter-tall building draws inspiration from the 'diamond' for its facade. It has received pre-certification for the international LEED Gold award.
The lighting design accentuates the 'diamond' concept at night: top lighting resembles a diamond necklace, and the facade in dynamic mode mimics scattered diamonds. Shone linear lights (specifications: 38x39, 69x70) were installed on the facade, using variations in solid/void and light/shadow to reinforce the building's tall, straight form, making it a dazzling jewel in the Chengdu night sky.

The Guangzhou ifp is situated on the central axis of Guangzhou's Zhujiang New Town. The building features a 'twin sails', symbolizing setting sail.
Floodlighting utilizes Shone linear lights to achieve a 'see the light, not the fixture' effect, also supporting simple animations and text displays. The lighting strengthens the building's outline, form, and axial sense, creating a rich and dynamic nighttime image.

Located in the heart of the CBD, this 160-meter tower combines hotel and apartment functions. The project selected Shone linear lights (specifications:38x39x1000mm) to outline the building's outline, creating an elegant and noble nighttime atmosphere that highlights the hotel's commitment to both comfort and quality.

This international super high-rise, Grade 5A office building stands 153 meters tall. For its facade lighting, Shone 35x15 linear lights were chosen. Through perforated panel inner light transmission and precise color temperature control, they delineate the building's outline, presenting a clean, sharp, imposing, and upright presence at night.

The fixtures feature:

- Appearance: Aluminum alloy body (silver-white) with aluminum buckle plate cover, integrating with the architecture without affecting daytime aesthetics.
- Installation: Available in 300/500/1000mm lengths for flexible matching with curtain wall structures; adjustable brackets.
- Light Output: 2700K + 6000K dual color temperatures, high CRI, uniform light output without harsh dark areas. DMX512 control enables various lighting effects.
- Waterproof: IP66 rating with waterproof connectors, ensuring safe and reliable operation in high-temperature, high-heat, and stormy conditions.
